Grooming
Regular grooming is important and beneficial for your four-legged family member, not only for them to look nice and smart but also for their overall health. Keeping your dog well groomed keeps their skin healthy, prevents irritation and keeps them more comfortable.
Our groomers are experienced and trained in all aspects of high-end breed clipping and styling. We are respectful towards the dogs at all times and we pay attention to detail throughout the whole grooming process, from brushing to bathing to the styling of your fur kid.
We recommend 6-8 week visits. This timeframe allows us to meet your expectations and desired outcomes. After 8 weeks the condition of a dogs coat deteriorates considerably and takes away a great deal of our control over the outcome.

Shampoo
We use quality shampoos that are good for your dog’s skin and hair. We also use medicated *flea treatments when needed and will use *shampoos for sensitive skin. Please request if your dog requires anything specific.
Clean and Hygienic
Our salon is kept clean throughout. We make sure that our tools and equipment are kept clean for each dogs use. We use hospital grade disinfectant in our bathing area and on all surfaces to protect our clients.
Record Keeping
We keep a record of each visit and the grooming details, this ensures that we are able to provide consistency across all future grooms. We also keep records of anything we notice during the time your dog is with us and will give you the feedback of your dog when you come to collect them.
Relaxing Atmosphere
We fill the salon with soothing music as this helps calm your dog, helping them stay relaxed throughout the whole grooming process.
We provide a personalised Grooming Service, where we offer one-on-one attention with each of our four legged visitors. All sessions are by appointment only and your fur kid is only required for the duration of their groom.
The length of time depends heavily on the condition of the coat, size of the dog and co-operation throughout the session. We aim for grooms to be completed in a minimum of 3 hours but allow additional time for dogs that are difficult to groom, older or become stressed during the process.
Unfortunately we cannot offer an all-day sitting service but will always try to accommodate special requests where we can.
At Oscar’s on Unley we protectively harness your dog in separate bays to ensure comfort and security and most importantly personal space that prevents any potential upset. We do not sedate dogs under any circumstances. Medications, sedatives and treatments are the Vet’s domain.
We provide water and treats (if you are happy for us to do so).
