The concept of Oscar's was born from a passion for dogs and all things associated. We had a desire to create a store that could provide everything a dog could need on any given day from grooming, washing and pampering!

We only use suppliers that pride themselves in creating high quality goods and who have the best interest of dogs at heart.

We are proud of how well Oscar's on Unley has grown into a highly reputable and trustworthy business and are committed to keeping the highest standards of care, grooming, and customer service.

We stock an array of accessories and essentials for the discerning dog along with providing a professional, friendly grooming service.

Our Passion

All employees of Oscar's on Unley are long term dog owners and so we completely understand just how precious our clients are to their owners - we handle all visits with care and respect.

The Grooming Salon

We provide a personalised Grooming Service, where we offer one-on-one attention with each of our four legged visitors.

All sessions are by appointment only and your fur kid is only required for the duration of their groom.  The length of time depends heavily on the condition of the coat, size of the client and co-operation throughout the session.  We strive for a minimum of 2 hours for small and 3 hours for large to x-large clients.

Unfortunately we can not offer an all day sitting service but can keep your dog for longer than necessary periods of time if it assist you with your schedule for the day.

You can rest assured your fur kid is in safe hands when in our care.  A large number of salons have taken to the concept of letting dogs roam free during their visit in an attempt to portray happiness and relaxed atmospheres.  Any professional dog trainer will adamantly tell you that this is a disaster waiting to happen.  Even the kindest, calmest dog has a natural instinct to protect itself if feeling under threat or in a situation they are unfamiliar with.  Having dogs roam freely without proper supervision and constant attention is professionally irresponsible.  At Oscar's on Unley we protectively harness your fur kid in separate bays to ensure comfort and security and most importantly personal space that prevents any potential upset.

We do not sedate dogs under any circumstances. 

We provide water and treats (if you are happy for us to do so). 

Medications, sedatives and treatments are the Vet's domain.
